Three Athletes Named as Finalists for Young Sports Star Award

English soccer star Michelle Agyemang, darts sensation Luke Littler and cricket star Davina Perrin have been named as finalists for the this year's Young Sports Personality of the Year award.
The trio have been recognised for their exceptional achievements over the past 12 months.
Agyemang played a key role in helping the Lionesses claim victory in Euro 2025, Littler won the world title for the maiden time, and Perrin surged to prominence with a historic innings.
Littler claimed this honour in 2024 after his breakthrough year.
The finalists were revealed during a live broadcast on a popular morning radio program.
The 2025 recipient will be unveiled on the annual sports awards show on December 18th.
The show will be televised from 19:00 GMT.
The Football Star

Just three months after her international debut, Agyemang played a crucial and game-changing role in England's run to European Championship victory.
She came off the bench to score vital last-gasp goals in both the last eight and last four matches.
Agyemang's stunning interventions led to her being named Young Player of the Tournament.
Subsequently, she was awarded the Golden Girl award for the top young European talent.
She was also shortlisted for the Kopa Trophy for the world's best under-21 female player.
Agyemang, who has been playing for Brighton on loan from Arsenal, suffered an ACL injury in October.
"To be named a finalist for this honour is an honour," said Agyemang. "I thank God and I'm appreciative of the support I've received from my family, coaches, team-mates and fans."
The Darts Prodigy

Littler's 2025 began in spectacular fashion as - aged 17 - he became the youngest darts world champion in history.
He secured a commanding win over Michael van Gerwen in the final.
His follow-up triumph at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth player to complete the prestigious PDC Triple Crown.
And he wasn't finished there - his triumph in November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he climbed to world number one for the first time.
At 18, he is the earliest achiever to do so, shattering the previous record.
"Earning a spot on the shortlist for Young Sports Personality of the Year is a big honour," stated Littler. "Last year's win was a special memory for me and I've had another unbelievable 12 months. I want to continue raising the profile of darts."
Perrin's Profile

Perrin is one of English cricket's most exciting young talents and burst into the spotlight with an extraordinary and record-breaking innings in August.
Her magnificent 42-ball century in The Hundred is the quickest ever by an English female in T20s.
It also stands as the joint third-fastest women's T20 century in a major league or full member T20 international.
Perrin came in second place in the run-scoring charts and was named PCA Women's Young Player of the Year.
